French Skincare Start-Up JOD Lands Funding

WWD reported French natural skincare brand JOD is finalizing its first funding, valuing the business at €5 million.

WHO: JOD is a French natural skincare brand founded at the end of 2023 by Olivia Bordeaux-Groult to reinvent facial skincare for the nomadic lifestyles of today's women. All products are in a waterless stick format, use highly concentrated oils and plant bioactives, contain no preservatives, and are packaged in recyclable packaging. 

The brand is distributed through its international e-commerce site as well as Le Bon Marché, independent concept stores, and pharmacies primarily in France.

WHY: The capital will be used to fuel innovation and accelerate growth.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: “This operation brings on board renowned investors from the beauty, tech and brand development sector,” JOD founder Olivia Bordeaux-Groult told WWD.

  • JOD is finalizing its first funding, valuing the business at €5 million.
  • Investors include Didier and Marie Tabary, Nicolas Geiger, Jacques Veyrat, Marc Ménasé, and Adrien Dassault.
  • The brand projects sales of more than €3 million in the next two years.
  • JOD is slated to launch at clean beauty retailer Oh My Cream in June 2026.
