What’s your proudest accomplishment to date?

We are proud of having built three globally recognized brands—Acnemy, Transparent Labs, and Theramid—that have redefined the skincare experience for thousands of consumers. We democratized categories previously reserved for high-end dermatology, created a loyal community across more than 30 countries, and have proven that premium science does not need a premium price tag. Most importantly, we’ve helped people feel good in their skin—especially younger consumers struggling with acne and confidence.

What is the one thing you wish someone had told you?

That innovation is not just about science or product—it’s about resilience. No matter how strong your technology or your vision is, you must be equally strong in navigating the complexities, setbacks, and constant reinventions that come with building in beauty.

What would you tell your past self before starting this journey?

Trust your intuition, stay obsessed with the consumer, and don’t be afraid to challenge the norms—even if the industry resists at first. Speed is a superpower, but consistency and focus are what sustain long-term impact.

What does success look like in the next 3-5 years? 

Success means becoming one of Europe’s most influential beauty innovation hubs, scaling our brands globally while preserving our scientific integrity and affordability promise.

It looks like:

• Double-digit year-over-year growth

• Further expansion in the US 

• A community-led ecosystem educating the next generation of skincare users

• A positive cultural impact—making credible skincare education accessible to all

Ultimately, success is transforming the way the world understands and accesses high-performance skincare.

What's one industry trend that is overhyped, and what's being overlooked? 

Overhyped: “one-ingredient” minimalism. Single actives oversimplify skincare and often lead consumers to over-layer and misuse formulas.

Overlooked: the power of smart formulation design—where ingredients are thoughtfully combined, encapsulated, and synergized. True efficacy comes from science, not simplicity.

How do you think the industry needs to evolve?

Beauty must evolve toward radical transparency, evidence-based formulations, and fair pricing models. The industry should prioritize consumer education, responsible communication, and innovation driven by real efficacy, not aesthetics or trends. Speed of execution and scientific rigor must coexist—and accessibility must remain central.

If you could wave a magic wand, what one wish would you make for your business?

To accelerate our global expansion while maintaining our core DNA: science-first innovation, transparent communication, and accessible pricing—bringing high-performance skincare to every generation and every market, without compromise.
