Steeped in Neurocosmetic Science, Lausanne-Based I.D. Swiss Botanicals Makes a Stateside Push

As the bridge between beauty and the brain, there’s no question that the burgeoning field of neurocosmetics is gaining traction. And while some industry types attempt to parse the razor-thin difference between psychodermatology and neurocosmetics, both lean into the fact that there’s a growing body of evidence pointing to a direct correlation between our emotions and what’s happening with our skin.Now I.D. Swiss Botanicals, a range of vegan neurocosmetic skincare developed by dermatologist Aude Rimella and her entrepreneur husband Cedric Rimella, is planting its flag in America. The tightly edited collection, consisting of just five core products—Deep Hydrating Serum, Radiance Moisturizer, Nourishing Night Cream, Relaxing (Neuro)cosmetic Mask, and the super-charged Skin Stress Balancer booster—prides itself on its “100% Made In Switzerland” origins. According to Cedric Rimella, who serves as CEO and co-founder, the idea for I.D. Swiss Botanicals sprang from Aude’s daily observations and experiences as a dermatologist. “In her practice, she frequently encountered patients struggling with skin issues that seemed to reflect deeper internal balances, particularly related to mental health,” he says. “This realization led us to explore the connection between skin health and mental well-being more deeply.
