You Go Natural Raises $2 Million in Seed Funding

The Dallas-based Black-owned headwrap brand You Go Natural (YGN) closed a $2 million round of seed funding led by Brand Foundry Venture.

WHO: Founded by Monique Little in 2016 to create a quick and easy way to protect her natural hair, You Go Natural is a brand of pre-tied and satin-lined headwraps, headbands, and turbans.

WHY: The brand will use the capital to expand its Dallas-based production facility from 1,500 to 7,500 square feet, grow its team from 38 people to over 100, and fund new product launches.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: “As a Black female founder, I have unique market insight into the world of ethnic beauty,” Little says. “I know where the industry is way oversaturated, and I know where there are gaps in innovation and solutions that have yet to be introduced. The vision of YGN goes way beyond headwraps. We are building the go-to source for innovation in natural beauty."

  • You Go Natural closed a $2MM seed funding round led by Brand Foundry Venture Partners with participation from Capital Factory, Willow Growth Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
  • The brand has been reported to be a multimillion-dollar business serving over 50,000 customers worldwide.
